Giulia Frati was born in Rome in 1985, she resides in Rome.
After having completed classical studies, she graduated in Fine Arts
at the ‘Accademia delle Belle Arti’ in Rome.
Her main interest is painting but she also likes photography and incision.
Through extensive research she managed to merge incision, drawing and sculpting into her painting.
Making full use of aluminum and its malleability, shine and versatility she creates astral landscapes.
In 2009 she participated to the photography exhibition of Corigliano Calabro, academic section.
In 2010 she participated to the graphic art exhibition named ‘From Rome to Istanbul’.
In 2011 she took part in a project aiming at creating a permanent contemporary art museum
in the A. Bafile high school in L’Aquila.
It was named ‘sand in one’s eyes but dreams in one’s heart’, led by ms Licia Galizia
and focusing on the theme of rebuilding after destruction.
In 2012 she held an exhibition in the art gallery ‘Baccina Techne’ in Rome.
In 2013 she gave a donation for the Civic Contemporary Art Gallery of Franco Libertucci, Casacalenda, Molise.
Giulia Frati used to be mr Baldo Diodato’s assistant.
